Project Name
Cheer at the Ballpark
Problem
When the pandemic hit, fans were no longer able to attend baseball games in person. A clear disconnect developed between fans and their teams, particularly during live baseball games. The excitement of crowd noises was suddenly lost, and the pulse of the game went dull.
Goal
To provide fans with a means to which they can be heard, and stay connected to live (fan-less) baseball games from the comfort and safety of their own homes.
Overview
“Cheer at the Ballpark” is a web app designed for both desktop and mobile use (cross platform). The fan is presented with a dashboard that showcases all of the games for that day. Once a specific game has been selected, the fan is then prompted to select which team they would like to root for. By “Clapping”, “Cheering”, and/or “Booing” during a game, our companion app collects fan input and channels the sounds through the stadium PA to resemble a live crowd, allowing fans - and players - to hear reactions live from the game.

Growth Opportunities
The development of voting within “Cheer at the Ballpark” is a next-step consideration to allow for in-stadium use. In addition, sponsorship can be incorporation on voting, a single featured game, or a package deal for all games that day.
